Membership Benefits
NSWCA Membership has the following benefits:
- Eligibility to enter NSWCA organised events. All events organised by the NSW Chess Association require you to be a member to participate. These include the NSW Open, NSW Championships, various NSW weekenders, blitz and bapid tournaments.
- Ability to vote and move motions (in line with the Constitution) at NSWCA General Meetings.
- Rating Service – The ACF rating list is updated 4 times a year: March, June, September and December. All tournament games 5 minutes or more per player organised by the NSWCA are included in the ACF rating system. Additionally, FIDE (International Chess Federation) rated events may also be organised.
- Support chess and get the satisfaction of supporting a growing national sport! The NSWCA supports national championships and ACF (Australian Chess Federation) participation in international competitions and junior training programs.
